I am currently deep in the forest whittling myself a new wife after my last one was eaten by a bear. This book taught me how to live life to the full. I love wood.

Whitewashing history.

It would be nice if history wasn't whitewashed on top of lots of misinformation. Glorifying Columbus and calling slaves "field workers" was enough to send me searching for a different history curriculum. Do yourself a favor, skip this book.

COULDN'T LIVE IT MORE

FINALLY! Honest history! I love it. It's not biased, it's beautifully written and illustrated, and my son loves it so much he reads at least a chapter a day with no complaints. If you want your children to know the truth about the first US peoples, the different homosepian species that have gone extinct (largely taught ignorantly as our same species -'neanderthal') going back to the Ice Age, that Christopher Columbus was not the first to sail to the US and in fact did so on accident, and so many other awesome fascinating truths that are either left out or skewed for the public system's 'in a box' texts, buy this series. He'll be reading at least 4 of the 10-book series this year.

Don't Pass On This Series

This is the kind of book I would have returned to the book store shelf after a ten second preview. No razzle dazzle.

Don't be fooled. This is a seriously good series. I gave it a try because our homeschool curriculum (Build Your Library) suggested it. I'm so glad! The author uses a story telling, time/space travel approach and it works. My boys are eleven, they like listening to the chapters. I bought the entire series of books, then bought one of the audiobooks. I think we could have gotten along with just the audiobooks, to be honest, and I'm going to download more as we progress through the series. Excellent US history anchor.

Oh, and I also bought the companion study guide thing & the test booklet. After trying to plug in both, I decided to only use the test booklet. It's great for a quick review of previous material, and it includes tests for all of the books in the series.

Walter D. Pullen is the latest incarnation of a soul on a long Path of evolution. An experienced astrologer, in 1991 he authored the freeware astrology software 'Astrolog.' Excellent Comprehensive Guide

I highly recommend this book for everyone on the planet. This book is inspirational and transformational. It is rare to find a book that includes nearly every facet of metaphysical subjects in one place, and so clearly written. This book is thought-provoking and philosophical. This book is a guide to how we can evolve as a species, and what happens beyond physical existence. This book encouraged me to look larger, beyond what I see in physical space. I felt utterly positive and fearless after reading it.

Very Englightening !

I have really enjoyed reading this book. I found the sections on karma and also that about how the spirit evolves very interesting and enlightening. The author offers a whole new perspective about life if one is not affiliated with religion. The book gives one great hope for the future and the evolution of humanity because of the concept of 'conscious evolution'. Thank you for this very enlightening work.

I never knew!!

I finished reading Luis' book and came out of it with what "I never knew!"

What special souls are these kids, and what special families are needed to bring them beyond rocking in a corner, as they have so much more potential. BUT so little is known and there is no cure; there is only hope, love, and the patience to see those through. I believe that had I not read this book, I'd not have known what was going on, or I should say NOT going on behind the eyes of an autistic child..

Luis, how kind and selfless of you to bare your soul in telling us the good, the bad, and the ugly that you have and are going through, and how wonderful that through all the strife, you come out of it seeing the good, the beauty, the love! You truly are a special dad! And I believe you couldn't have been that special dad without the help and support of the rest of your immediate family.

Thanks for the tears and the laughter I got to experience while reading! You'd bring me to tears and then crack me up!!

I hope that your book helps your friends and your family understand about autism, as well, and that other dads like you feel freer to feel, talk about, and to fight for their kids. Unfortunately, autism is so prevalent now; they need to find the cause and cure!

I have autism in our extended family and this book not only helped me understand the effects autism has on a family but I could relate to this fathers hope for the best for his children and family.

A rare gem on special needs children

This is a touching and loving rendition of a story usually not shared beyond immediate family. It touches--sometimes with wry humor--on the often misunderstood nature of autism, and on the seemingly trivial and everyday events that transport what is usually banal into what becomes an abrupt impasse. Underlying this is the quiet but passionate love that a parent--a father--gives and receives in a tender father-son relationship. This book should be read by every father, not just those with special needs children! Bravo, Luis!
