Great real life examples

This book is great and very easy to understand. The best part about it is that it uses examples of different types of men in different scenarios rather than simply giving a laundry list of characteristics of different types of men. The "men" in this book are brought to life by using examples that a female friend of the author has dated in the past.

It's a refreshing presentation of this topic, to say the least.

"Why Men Really Cheat" was an enlightening read for several reasons:
1. It was written in a way that was easily engaging and caters to various types of people with different experiences in relationships.
2. It forces you to look at your own patterns (positive and negative) in relationships and how that might be influenced by our personality, family history, and environment.
3. It objectively challenged the concept of "all men are alike" (that is unfortunately reinforced when women in heterosexual relationships are treated poorly or cheated on) by presenting information on human interactions, sexuality, and infidelity from the fields of psychology, biology, anthropology, and sociology.
4. It provides a user-friendly formula for understanding different types of men and how they might operate in relationships, while also highlighting characteristics in these types that are both desirable and avoidable in a relationship.
5. It does not condemn or shame either gender, nor does it give an "out" for negative and hurtful behavior; it discusses the information based on research and presents an opportunity to break cycles of repetitive, destructive relationships (for both men and women).
Read this book if you're interested in finding out more about your relationship patterns and/or you've had at least one experience with cheating (either as the cheater or the one being cheated on).

If you have ever been cheated on, cheated yourself, or not quite sure... A must read!

An enlightening read that takes what is by its very nature an emotionally charged subject & provides a solid psychological basis with which to evaluate personal situations. The light-hearted narrative that ties the 'Types" together provides a real life application to what is a very detailed look at all the possible menfolk you may encounter yourself; or for the males reading, even relate with personally. I personally was surprised to find myself identifying past acquaintances without even realising I was doing so. The great thing about reading this book, is that through understanding just what you may be up against, you can take a rational & perhaps less emotional look at what is often one of our most important life decisions - getting or staying involved with a man we never should have considered in the first place. The author clearly knows women, & they are not let off the hook in terms of being part of a viable relationship. A recommended read that will change your outlook if you thought that all men are the same.
